Boosts: levels and what they unlock
What it is
Telegram Premium subscribers support channels and groups with boosts: Premium includes 4, and each moves a chat toward its next level. How many a level needs depends on your audience size.
Each channel level adds one story per day and one custom reaction. Name colors and link styles start at level 1, logos for links and quotes at 4, cover colors at 5, a cover logo at 7, 1000+ emoji statuses at 8, backgrounds at 9, custom backgrounds at 10. Telegram's developer docs put auto-translation at level 3 and Switch Off Ads at 50. Groups get stories too, an emoji pack at 4 and unlimited voice-to-text at 6.
How to do it
- Channel profile › ⋮ / ⋯ › Statistics › Boosts shows your level, Boosts to Level Up and the Link for boosting.
- Share that link (`t.me/yourchannel?boost`); Premium subscribers open it and tap Boost.
- Groups: group profile › ⋮ / ⋯ › Boost Group.
- More boosts: Get Boosts via Gifts runs a Premium giveaway; or gift Premium via a friend's profile › ⋮ / ⋯ › Send a Gift.
Watch out
- Only Premium users can boost.
- A giveaway brings 4 boosts per subscription given away; they can't be moved and last as long as the subscriptions.
- Each Premium gift gives you 3 boosts; your friend gets 1.
- Boosts expire, and people can move them to another chat.
With Gem
Gem doesn't collect or count boosts. Nearby: write one post asking for boosts, and Gem translates it for each language's channel and publishes it now or on schedule. Its Raffle is a separate draw and brings no boosts.
