Start a project in @gembot
What it is
A project starts with one sentence. Gem asks at most two questions, only what it can't guess, like the city or your languages. Then it writes:
- a landing page at gem.bot/yourname in each language;
- the project's Mini App page, t.me/gembot?startapp=yourname, which opens it inside Telegram;
- search data: a sitemap, an instant notice to search engines that accept IndexNow, and your place and opening hours if you run a local business.
How to do it
- Open @gembot and send /newproject.
- Describe the project in one sentence, like "Pottery classes for adults in… Describe the project in one sentence, like "Pottery classes for adults in Tbilisi, in English and Russian", and answer Gem's questions.
- Pick one of the three free names Gem offers.
- Read the draft and change it in words: "warmer", "add the Saturday class".
- Tap Publish.
- Send /myprojects, pick the project, tap Knowledge and send text, links,… Send /myprojects, pick the project, tap Knowledge and send text, links, PDFs, photos of price lists or voice notes. A Markdown file of several articles, each starting with a `# Title` line, becomes several articles. Publish as a page or Publish all as pages turns documents into public article pages on gem.bot.
- Tap Add form to collect requests: each one reaches you in @gembot at once and counts in the dashboard.
Watch out
- The free names Gem offers have 7 letters or more; shorter ones cost Stars, paid once.
- Renaming later with /myprojects → Rename? The old address redirects for 90 days, so update your links in time.
- Questions Gem can't answer come to you. Tap Answer it, and your answer goes into the knowledge.
